Miranda always really liked photography and design, so the position at Hasselblad was a great opportunity to combine these interests with her marketing experience. In the Hasselblad US office, she works with digital marketing, which can include anything from email marketing to social media to web design.

How long have you worked at Hasselblad and where is your position located?

I started at Hasselblad in October 2017, so just a bit over a year. I started working for Hasselblad in Union, New Jersey but with the opening of the NY Experience Studio this past February, I also spend a lot of time in the New York City office.

How would you describe a typical day in your role?

We’re a small team so my typical day varies depending on what is being prioritized; prioritization is usually determined at the weekly strategy and execution meeting. Once the prioritization is set, I then work both independently and collaboratively to accomplish what's on the agenda. Additionally, I allocate part of my mornings to catch up with overseas colleagues on any outstanding projects as well as carve out a portion of my day to monitor our social media channels and strategize on future digital content plans.

Why do you like working at Hasselblad?

Although I am not a photographer, I have always enjoyed and appreciated photography. I love seeing the work our ambassadors and masters produce with our cameras; it’s truly inspiring. Being part of a global organization is also exciting as it enables me to collaborate and learn from a very culturally diverse team, which makes working here very fulfilling.

What is the best thing about working within the marketing team at Hasselblad US?

Since we’re a small team, we fill many different job functions; this allows and requires us to become fully immersed and to have a deep understanding of all the products and events we’re marketing. This immersion allows us to build customized campaigns from the ground up and see each one through, from the initial brainstorming all the way to execution.

Hasselblad is a tech-forward, yet classic, high-end camera company with a rich history that includes being the first camera on the moon. We continue to be innovative through the years, creating quality cameras that photographers aspire to own.
