Limited Warranty Statement

Photographers throughout the world have for very many years appreciated that Hasselblad products represent the very best value in medium format photography. We are sure you will be pleased with your purchase.

Hasselblad’s Limited Warranty Statement

Hasselblad warrants the purchaser of this product that it will be free from defects in workmanship and materials for a period of one year from delivery.

  • For H5D & H5X Series products the warranty duration is 12 months (or 100,000 exposures, whichever comes first).
  • For H6D Series products the warranty duration is 24 months (or 100,000 exposures, whichever comes first). If you register before 31st of March 2017, we will give you an extra 12 months absolutely free.
  • For standard H System lenses the warranty duration is 12 months (or 100,000 exposures, whichever comes first).
  • For new HC and HCD lenses, now marked with an orange square, the warranty duration is 24 months (or 1,000,000 exposures, whichever comes first). If you register before 31st of March 2017, we will give you an extra 12 months absolutely free.
  • For X1D the warranty duration is 12 months (or 100,000 exposures, whichever comes first). If you register before 31st of March 2017, we will give you an extra 12 months absolutely free.
  • For X1D 4116 Edition the warranty duration is 24 months (or 100,000 exposures, whichever comes first). If you register before 31st of March 2017, we will give you an extra 12 months absolutely free.
  • For XCD lenses the warranty duration is 12 months (or 1,000,000 exposures, whichever comes first). If you register before 31st of March 2017, we will give you an extra 12 months absolutely free.
  • For CFV Series products the warranty duration is 12 months.
  • For Flextight Scanners the warranty duration is 12 months.

Accessories such as, but not limited to, link cables and consumables such as, but not limited to, rechargeable batteries are not covered by this warranty. If the product fails to function because of defects in workmanship or materials, Hasselblad will repair the product free of charge. The product must be returned to an authorised Hasselblad Partner (dealer, distributor, service workshop), who will take care of the repair.

Please note that the product must be returned to the Hasselblad Partner who originally delivered the product. Failure to comply with this can lead to charges for shipping and/or repair. Please save your original receipt as the proof of purchase of your Hasselblad product. Residents of North, Middle, and South America must read the separate warranty statement.

The warranty does not cover damage resulting from accidents, misuse, dirt, water, battery leakage, tampering or service performed by unauthorised persons. Further, the warranty does not cover scanners on which preventive maintenance has not been performed according to the warning messages prompted by FlexColor (related to the number of scans performed).

This warranty is limited to the undertaking set out above regarding repair of non-conforming products. The purchaser shall not under any circumstances be entitled to any damages or compensation.

This warranty does not affect the purchaser’s legal rights as a consumer pursuant to mandatory consumer law statutes.


Additional 12 Month Warranty 

To receive the additional 12 month warranty you will need the serial numbers for the new camera. The following procedure must be followed:

  1. Visit www.hasselblad.com and click the SIGN IN option.
  2. If you do not have a Hasselblad account you will need to create an account before you are able to register your equipment.
  3. Once signed in, select the EDIT PROFILE option.
  4. You will now be able to register the new product.
