Thank you everyone that visited shootSIN!
At shootSIN visitors were able to take part in creative live shoots and listen to inspiring seminars hosted by some of the world’s most influential photographers.
During the 2-day event visitors were also able to view the winning entries of the Hasselblad Masters 2016 competition.
This year’s theme was wedding photography – We also explored other fields of photography from a technical, creative and business perspective. Here are some highlights from shootSIN 2016:
Jewel Ling’s Photographic Journey
Hasselblad Ambassador Jewel Ling guided us through her emotional journey to become a photographer. She talked about how hard she worked to bring up her career and the importance of the support she got along the way.

He also shared his story of growing his own studio and the challenges he tackled becoming a successful photographer. Additionally he gave a greatly appreciated live comparison between the Hasselblad H5D-50c and the all new Hasselblad H6D-100c.

Sails Chong’s soft-spoken and humble personality contrasts with his spectacular wedding photography. During his live shoot he shared his used a wide range of Hasselblad cameras (H5D-50c, H6D-50c and CFV-50c) and explained the strengths of each system.
Ming Thein Hasselblad Medium Format Advantages

Kevin Then Wedding Photography
Hasselblad Master Kevin Then’s live shoots attracted a huge audience. Full of creativity and energy he transformed the chairs available at the venue into a prop for his shoot. Thanks to the flexibility of its CMOS sensor the H5D-50c is the weapon of choice for Kevin.
We would like to say a special thanks to our partners and speakers: Karl Taylor, Sails Chong, Ming Thein, Jewel Ling, Kevin Then, Ukay Cheung, the crew from Stills Networks – Zam, Eizo, Epson & Basheer Graphic Books, Shriro Singapore, and especially Eujin Goh from Broncolor Singapore.
Stills Network were the backbone of the event, supporting the photographers and participants. At ease with the various Hasselblad systems and the newly released Phocus 3.0 they reminded everybody about the important role assistants play at shoots.
Photographer & Videographer: Matthew Low and Harry Ng of Collabsg.
