2016-02-22 ‘Photography is beyond a job for me: it’s a passion’
Based out of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Ming services industrial and corporate documentary clients across Asia and further afield. He specialises in representing the lifecycle of a company, from the people behind the creation to abstract beauty of the finished product – be it massive civil engineering projects, interiors or precision timepieces. Location work is his forte, with clients including some of the largest developers and construction firms in Asia, the Richemont Group brands, Nissan, and noted architects such as Tange Associates and Hijjas Kasturi.
Ming also holds an MA in Physics from The University of Oxford, and served as a director at various finance and private equity firms in Asia before quitting to pursue a lifelong dream of something visual, creative and specifically involving photography.
“I am a commercial photographer specialising in product photography on location and corporate reportage. Lately, I’ve also served as creative consultant and director to ensure a consistent visual look and feel across all aspects of a campaign, including video/ commercials, printed materials and exhibitions – right down to lighting design. It’s no longer just about the visuals: it’s about the experience and the emotion, too.”
