My photographic background goes back to my childhood years and has primarily been focused on aerial, photogrammetry, industrial/scientific, and general artistic/landscape uses. This is often related to my other interests and ongoing projects that I have been involved in at various times. I have experience in glassblowing for neon and scientific purposes, electronics, and precision machine work; and often use these for photographic subjects.
I am currently employed in the aerial survey business where part of my duties include the design, installation, repair, and operation of camera and LIDAR systems in aircraft.
I have owned Hasselblad cameras with both factory and custom purpose built accessories since 1993 when I bought my first 500C, a 1963 model which is still a productive workhorse in my arsenal of camera gear. That 500C has been nearly everywhere and in every weather imaginable, from 50 below in the north to 110 above in the south....it has always functioned without fail and overall the system does what I want it to do.
