The perfect capture. The perfect image. The perfect photograph.
Perfection. There is no such thing. Or is there?
I have realised that I am on a mission. Most probably a life long mission,
but I have set out - on this mission - determined to pursue the perfect
capture. Why shoot for the impossible? Is it impossible? I intend to find
out.
How do you find perfection? Trial and error. Simple as that. Stick to your
charted course. If you hit a road bump, mark its location. And avoid
it in the future.
When I work, I visualize. Visualize the story I wish to share. Perhaps the
story will not be obvious to all. You may interpret for yourself. Perhaps
you find perfection, and I do not see it. Perhaps I find perfection, and
you do not agree. Time will tell if we have to settle for less. Which I
can accept. As long as the pursuit drives me to improve my skills.
Continuously. Progressively. On this mission.
This site is my invitation to you. My open door. For you to join me on
this mission. I wish to share my findings with you along the way, and I
invite you to share your sentiments. Let me know if I draw closer to the
perfect capture. Care to join?
I surround myself with people who inspire. Who contribute. Who support.
Who pursue. I act on impulse. Input. Inspiration. Interest. Mutual
interest. Perhaps I can help you. Or vice versa. Still with me?
The 1983 Kodak Ekstra 200. My first camera. Still in my possession, it is
sitting in my studio as an everyday reminder of why I set out on this
mission. The perfect capture. The perfect image. The perfect photograph.
Perfection. The pursuit continues.
Let's go.
