Helena V. is a Still-Life Photographer in NYC that specializes in Accessories and has worked for companies such as Polo Ralph Lauren, Cosmo, Allure, Marie Claire, Travel + Leisure, City magazine + more. What makes her different from all the other photographers in the metro area is that not only can she provide sharp,colorful and creative photographs but since she has extensive experience in Art Direction she can also offer you promotional design services, with the photos she shoots, to assist you in marketing your business. Additionally she is diligently working on her photo fine art concept titled Discreet Messages.
Helena was born in Caracas, Venezuela and lived there till she was five years old. Early in her childhood a camera was given to her, which she constantly used to shoot and create montages. In 1980 her parents moved her from South America to Connecticut. She grew up there and then studied photography for two years at the University of Colorado at Boulder. While studying at the university she learned about how difficult it is to survive as a full-time artist. That being so, she switched her major to creative advertising because she was drawn to graphic visuals that continue to inspire her today. After graduation she returned to the east coast to go to communication design school at Parsons School of Design in New York City and to pursue her dream as an artist.
