Fabio Ghidini became interested in photography during the nineties, when he began to take photographs of his aquarium with a compact digital camera, upgrading to a digital SLR camera and after years of application, Fabio is today one of the most renowned aquarium photographers in Italy. He has progressed to a medium format film camera which he uses exclusively for Black & White images.
Fabio appreciates the craft aspect of old photography as the most simple and direct way to capture the real essence of subjects; he likes to return to the true meaning of photography, “write with light”. Even everyday things that surround us can unfold their inner essence; images can be evocative or descriptive, but in both cases light can reveal the hidden truth of things.
