Ben goes to extraordinary lengths to share his admiration of the natural world with others. To the dismay of his wife, he particularly enjoys exploring remote and inhospitable corners of the planet not frequented by humans. Recent expeditions have taken him to arctic Alaska in winter (-65 F) and Death Valley in summer (125 F), resulting in the demise of more photographic equipment than many photographers have ever owned.
Ben regularly spends multiple days in pursuit of the perfect light, weather and composition for just a single photograph, often backpacking many miles into the wilderness to discover scenery unvisited by others. Hopefully that passion shines through in his photographs.
Most of Ben’s photographs are captured with a H3D-39. His images have been published worldwide in a variety of media, including recently in Outdoor Photographer and Popular Photography.
