2015-03-17 Alfie Goodrich – a British photographer, photography teacher and magazine editor living in Japan – is on a mission to give photographers ‘a deeper photographic learning experience’.
The Hasselblad Discovery Workshop Programme, set in picturesque coastal Hyuga on Kyushu Island, gives delegates a unique chance to test-drive latest Hasselblad equipment, including the outstanding CFV-50c and H5D-50c cameras, to create images for Alfie’s online Stekki Magazine – aimed at lovers of both quality photography and Japan.
Says Hasselblad ambassador Alfie, whose own photographic expertise embraces fashion, landscape and automotive disciplines: “The whole idea for these workshops grew out of a desire to give photography lovers a deeper learning experience; one that covers all parts of the creative photographic process. The Discovery Workshops are also about exposing people to the realities of shooting for a specific purpose but away just from shooting personal projects. These are Hasselblad workshops, so of course there will always be some very funky camera gear to play with… whether delegates are beginners or experts.”
